You may not know this about The Starr Conspiracy: We’re kind of fond of our pets. Cats, dogs, rabbits, ocelots … you name it, we got it. We’re not PETA, but we have a major soft spot in our hearts for animals, and we want Fort Worth to be a humane – and, we hope, someday soon – no-kill city. So we’ll definitely be going to a party on Chadra Mezza’s patio Wednesday evening, because it benefits Fort Worth shelter animals. Chadra, one of our favorite Near Southside restaurants, and Fort Worth Foodie magazine teamed up for the event. Oh you know those appetizers are going to be good. And there’ll be doggie-inspired cocktail specials (Rrrrowf!) Bring your canine companion and – listen up, because this is important – a monetary donation or some pet food to help shelter animals (100% of the proceeds go to the shelter).
