We Love You HR — That’s Why We’re Going to LA SHRM

social-streetThe Starr Conspiracy and HR go together like arsenic and old lace. You might know us as the keepers of The HR Blogger Network. You might know us as the thrower of historic parties at SHRM or HR Tech. You might have had a drink or ten on our dime. You’re welcome.

Our love of HR is more than drinks and ice sculptures … we really love HR. You’ll find The Starr Conspiracy anywhere that’s helping to better the world of HR — that’s why we’re involved in events like InfluenceHR and The Frontier Project. That’s why we buy you copious amounts of booze two or three times a year. Well, part of that might just be because we like you so much.

When we heard about what Louisiana SHRM (LA SHRM) was doing with their annual conference, we jumped at the chance to be part of it.

If you don’t have plans April 8th and 9th, we wholeheartedly recommend checking out LA SHRM. You’ll hear from social HR juggernauts like Robin Schooling and Bill Boorman on the turning point of HR, Teela Jackson and Matt Charney on employment branding around culture, and Dwane Lay on changing your company culture. While you’re there, you can attend Jennifer McClure’s pre-conference workshop — The Future of HR: Delivering Competitive Advantage in Your Organization.

If you’re scrambling frantically for the registration link, you can register for the event here.

Finally, if you’re drawn to events by the social component, LA SHRM will be introducing Social Media Street for hands-on learning from HR social media leaders.

If you’re planning on attending, don’t miss the kick-off reception Sunday evening and the Monday Evening Social at Boudreaux and Thibodeaux’s.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • April 8-9
  • Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • Compelling speakers like Robin Schooling, Bill Boorman and Jennifer McClure

Register now — we want to see you there!
