Conspiracy Theories Debunked: Mission 1, Should You Choose to Accept It

OchoI started my internship here at The Starr Conspiracy with a blank canvas when it came to human resources. Although I learned a great deal in college, my degree in advertising and business did little to educate me about the HR space.

Since then, that canvas has been painted with my exposure to a number of different sectors and professional opinions within HR practices, and a few trends have emerged. One of them being:

The way things are supposed to be ≠ The way things actually are

Surely you know what I’m talking about.

From reading and hearing comments on my previous blog posts about different HR spaces, I’ve gotten the impression that there is somewhat of a disconnect between what needs to be done and the best way to get there.

I want to hear what myths you believe exist in HR. What conspiracy theories really grind your gears? What elephant is in your room? How many licks does it take to get to the center of your proverbial Tootsie Pop?

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that if YOU are thinking it, you’re probably not the only one.
